• Leisure & surroundings

We have a lot to offer.

the former princely town in the romantic Elbbach Valley, offers a variety of historical architecture with the flair of a charming small town. The center of the town is one of the largest and most important Renaissance castles in Germany.

As in
only in a few towns has the entire ensemble of medieval buildings been preserved almost intact. This is why the former walled city center between St. George's Cathedral in Grabenstraße and the 600-year-old Lahn Bridge is now a listed building.

The "green oasis" of the low mountain range lies between the cities of Cologne and Frankfurt
. It is bordered by the rivers Rhine, Sieg, Dill and Lahn. The Westerwald offers a wide range of opportunities for sporting and active leisure activities in nature - cycling and hiking, enchanting little towns and sights andmuch more - as well as cultural offers and sights worth seeing, such as the section of the German Half-Timbered Road between Limburg and Dillenburg.

Lahn Valley
offers a wide range of leisure activities for vacations, short breaks or active weekends.

Family time around Hadamar

Spending time together, having fun together and enjoying experiences that will leave wonderful memories in your life.

In the small town of Weilburg an der Lahn, 20 minutes away, we recommend some great sights

Weilburg animal park - wonderful walks, experience animals up close - wolves, bears and lynxes with a small petting zoo and educational trails, playgrounds and small restaurants - eventful hours for young and old

Kubach Crystal Cave - equipped with a safety helmet and accompanied by your "cave guide", you will explore the depths of the millennia-old cave paths.

Weilburg Castle and Castle Garden

Our neighboring town of Limburg (8km):

Boat trips on the Lahn: sail along the Lahn towards Balduinstein on the Limburg coat of arms

Pedal boating on the Lahn - great fun for the whole family, for sports enthusiasts and sun worshippers

In good and bad weather: events with a HUGE fun factor for young and old

Limpark Limburg - Hessen's largest multisport arena: paintball, laser tag, escape room, karting and much more.

Jump Arena Limburg

In the immediate vicinity:

Water playground Diez- Unterwirtstrasse in 65582 Diez- great even in high temperatures for splashing around and cooling off with an adjacent large "normal" playground- afterwards it is worth making a detour to the "Eismanufaktur- Gefrorenes Glück" in the old town of Diez

Diez climbing park

Runkel Castle - a very well preserved castle complex - once built to secure the Lahn crossing. Runkel is very easy to reach from Hadamar via the R8 in conjunction with the Lahn cycle path, a really nice day trip. Before the return journey, it is definitely worth making a detour to the Runkel ice cream parlor - in summer there is also a DLRG-supervised access to Lahnbaden in Runkel!
